Diaries of a distant landscape
An audiovisual work conceived as a visual and sonic diary: images filmed in China — from Shandong to Beijing — moving between rural landscapes and highly technologized environments, tracing a continuous dialogue between tradition and contemporaneity.
The soundtrack, composed by me in 2025, is based on Chinese flutes such as the hulusi, dizi, and xiao. The intention was not to imitate or reproduce traditional music, but rather to engage with these places, interpret them, and penetrate them through the sound of traditional instruments, filtered through a personal perspective.
